Vitamin K is a group of essential vitamins with two primary forms. The vitamin K1 form is essential for normal blood clotting. Vitamin K2 forms (menatetrenone, MK-4, and menaquinone-7, MK-7) support healthy bone and connective tissue metabolism and cardiovascular health. The Ultra K2 product supplies the MK-4 form of Vitamin K2. Compared to the MK-7 form of Vitamin K2, higher amounts of the MK-4 form are needed to positively impact blood and tissue levels, hence the 15mg/capsule amount vs. microgram amounts for our MK-7 product.
