MEDICAL INFORMATION: Research has shown that grounding may lower inflammation and that inflammation is at the root of most modern health challenges. Additionally, research on the health benefits of grounding has shown improvements in blood pressure, blood viscosity, blood glucose, thyroid, adrenal, and other endocrine functions. Therefore, one should closely monitor their use of blood thinners, blood pressure, blood glucose medications, and thyroid, adrenal, and other hormonal medications because the amount of medication may need to be decreased over time as you continue grounding. Grounding may also improve and regulate immune function, and there have been numerous anecdotal reports of improvements in various types of autoimmune conditions. However, there has not been any research or anecdotal reports regarding the use of grounding with transplant recipients. Because transplant recipients rely on immunosuppressant medications to prevent rejection, they should consult with their doctor or healthcare professional before grounding.
